The origins of the polyester industry can be traced back through the history of our company from its initial development by ICI and DuPont in the 1950’s through to our more recent history as DuPont Teijin Films. We have a track record of innovation from the initial invention of biaxially orientated PET films in 1952 through to cutting edge developments which address some of the most urgent challenges faced by the world such as enabling the circular economy, the electrification of vehicles or the move to renewable energy.

We aim to be the go-to development partner for our customers and the wider value chains we operate in, investing in our people and production assets to enable the innovations of the future, and are proud to have the most diverse and flexible production assets of any polyester film producer.

We pride ourselves on the long standing relationships we have with our customers and throughout the value chains we operate in, in many cases spanning decades and sharing joint achievements such as the development of the first all PET backsheets or the move to top seal lidding in the packaging market.

Underpinning these partnerships is trust, both in how we conduct ourselves in our business and also the consistent quality and reliability of Mylar®, Melinex®, and Kaladex® products.

With manufacturing sites in Europe and the US as well as our partnership in China with DPHJ, we offer global reach, and with dedicated commercial and technical teams across the globe we offer a local service in the regions we serve.
