DuPont Teijin Films, the world’s leading differentiated producer of PET and PEN polyester films, joins the Systems-in-Foil program of Holst Centre, a research initiative of the Flemish and Dutch research centers IMEC and TNO. By getting a major substrate vendor on board, Holst Centre gathers the entire ecosystem of industrial players around its Systems-in-Foil program line.
Through the DuPont network, Bill Macdonald, DTF Business Research Associate, was approached by Centre for Vision in the Developing World for some polyester film. This is a worthy cause, the concept is bringing "inexpensive vision to a billion people " (quote Tony Blair). The idea was developed by Professor Josh Silver using Mylar® polyester film from DuPont Teijin Films.

DuPont Teijin Films is implementing this increase to support future growth and to regain the re-investment economics needed in the business. This increase is also necessitated by rising raw material costs.
